Our software training package, in association with the UK’s leading school for the built environment at the University of Salford, will give you all the tools necessary to successfully complete your Domestic Energy Assessor Diploma.
Lifespan SAP is completely free to those wishing to use it as part of the training process. After the training you will be in a position to submit your five EPCs towards becoming an approved DEA.
Training is available in one of two learning packages:
LifespanSAP software will be made available free of charge on an open access to people who have received software training and have been registered as a 'trainee user'. This enables candidates who are training to become energy assessors to use the software freely and print/save Energy Performance Certificates in pdf format for their own use and to attend and to attach to their reports for assessment purposes.
The School of the Built Environment at University of Salford will provide a comprehensive 1 day training session held on campus in one of the technology teaching suites. The training will provide the skills to complete an RdSAP assessment on-line and enable trainees to produce the five Energy Performance Certificate required to qualify. The five EPCs are submitted to the trainees chosen certification scheme (e.g. RICS) for assessment and to achieve the RdSAP certificate of accreditation.
The cost of the training is £195.00 per delegate.

An on-line training facility is available for experienced practitioners and is an excellent way to work at your own pace to become an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor. Once registered and approved, you will be able to access and download a comprehensive training manual and work through the RdSAP software. Upon completion, trainees will be able to produce the five energy performance certificates required to qualify. The five EPCs are submitted to the trainees chosen certification scheme (e.g. RICS) for assessment and to achieve the RdSAP certificate of accreditation.
